Garden Tips for September
Aphids are more of a nuisance than a serious threat to plant health. Learn what you can do to get rid of them.
Usually mid-June weather takes care of these landscape pests but not this year, so roll up your sleeves and doctor up a quick solution to spray on your plants. Put one tablespoon of Ivory liquid soap (or dishwashing liquid) in a one-quart spray bottle. That should help get rid of them quicker without damaging your flowers, plants or trees. You may need to repeat the process every two hours or so if the aphids are still active.
